The coffee, tea and cocoa originate from smallholder growers based in Latin America, Asia and Africa.
Cafédirect maintains relationships with its smallholder farmers, with growers having seats on its board and owning shares in the company. A portion of the profits are allocated to Cafédirect’s foundation. The foundation supports cooperation among the smallholder farmers and enables the growers to improve their livelihoods.
Cafédirect was founded in 1992 and first partnered with Oikocredit in 2011.
